I believe that Stone 103 is one of two adjacent stones representing sacred hares (the other being 102) regarded as part of a symbolic precession around the South-East Quadrant of Avebury henge.   This procession would have been centered around the Obelisk Stone, a monolith that was regrettably destroyed in recent centuries.   Below I outline what I believe is the right profile face on 103.
